Today was the longest day ever! We were trapped indoors all day and not just indoors but religated to the downstairs only because Todd is on night shift so was sleeping all day. The snow was so bad I just didn't dare chance an excursion out in it.
Normally that's what we do to break up the day . . . we go out for a bit usually to a store but not always. We are always back in time for Mia's nap and then the rest of the day at home is easier to manage.
Even Gillian had a rougher than usual day but that's because she's teething like crazy and fighting a cold. Poor thing cried so much today it seemed and I was holding her most of the time too.
I managed to finally get Matthew outside to play in the snow by 4:30. He wanted to stay in his pjs all day and since we weren't going anywhere I didn't push it. He's funny. When the weekend comes around he adamantly refuses to go anywhere but by the afternoon he's asking to go out. He probably gets tired of our early morning rush and looks forwards to just chill-laxing on the weekends. I can hardly blame him.
When Todd went out to shovel, Mia was quite happy to tag along. She loves the snow! Yeah I should have taken pics but the batteries died and Gillie-bean was stuck on my hip as per usual.
Okay so if it's going to snow can you keep your fingers crossed that it continues and it's hard enough to close school tomorrow? I would actually brave the roads tomorrow to get in an impropmt to shopping trip in!

Look at all that snow! That would be enough to shut down schools for a week here in Arkansas! :)
I totally know what you mean about getting stir-crazy at home. We always get out of the house in the morning (and also have the mad rush to get ready every day) and the days that we don't just seem so long and boring, although they ARE more relaxing.
Hope you got some shopping done!!
Holy cow that is alot of snow. I have to say, I am so NOT jealous! I hate Houston summers but the winters are right up my alley, although some occasional light snow would be nice :)
I too like to get out of the house everyday. I can see a huge difference in overall moods from the kiddos (grace too) when we stay in the house all day. Our best time is always in between grace's am and pm naps.
Hope Gillie bean is doing better! Teething bites HARD!
