My son . . .

Tonight we went out to a restaurant for supper because I DEMANDED that we go! lol Naw, I was just really tired and the thought of making supper wasn't helping. Todd wasplaying around in the restaurant and singing a bit to a song playing. Matthew jokingly to stop singing and Todd says I can sing if I want too. At which point Matthew says, "Well you don't appreciate it when I sing!" WHAT?! We all started laughing! I swear he says stuff like that all the time and it's so funny to hear these big words coming from such a little guy. I love teaching him new words and hearing him use them correctly in context. He is such an verbal learner. I think his first week in grade one went really well. Now I just need to make sure I do my part and help him at home. I get so caught up in the evening doing this and that. Cleaning up, getting ready for the next day, snuggling with Gillian, making time for Mia that I think Matthew gets a bit shafted. Poor guy.

We went to Walmart after to get Mia some more pictures to colour in with water. She's big time into aquadoodling and really like the ones that reveal a picture underneath. We got some Dora ones and a My Little Pony aquadoodle book. Well, we are still holding firm about no more toys for Matthew because of his previous greedy behaviour. Tonight was no exception. He didn't even ask. I could tell he was dying to ask for a couple things but he didn't say a word. He didn't get upset either that Mia was getting those aquadoodle books either. I was so proud and happy! Maybe he's finally getting over this greedy spell! YAY!

Yeah, and I guess he kinda does look like me.

You guys are like TWINS! Wow!

I love it when Nathan uses the big words, too. One of his newer ones is inappropriate, but he says it "non-profriate".

Yup, looks just like you.

I'm proud of him for being so good at the toy store and using such big words.
